Cable Knit Sweater + Liquid Leggings

Wednesday, March 02, 2016

Hello everyone!

It's March now! it's been crazy at work lately so time has really flown by, we're working on a HUGE project but -supposedly- it will slow down by the end of next week (looking forward to it!).

On the other hand, I keep working on building websites for small businesses here in Baja, so my days are super busy :( so writing this is the way I relax, I put my mind away from work and talk about what I'm passionate about ♥.

The outfit I'm posting today is from days ago (as always, I can't seem to catch up with myself, I'm always few days behind hehe). I felt very brave that day I must say! These are the thin/liquid leggings I talked about on this post; because they're thin they're not 100% flattering, so even when I don't have much hips (let's not even go to the no-butt part of me), I felt like a large top was a must! I liked the look a lot! but I felt paranoid while walking, I asked like 3 people if there was anything jiggling and wiggling as I walked hahaha.

I really wanted to wear them now because winter is almost over and I don't want to even think on how these would feel on a warm/hot weather! and like I said, I really liked the overall look of it.

Specifics:

- Liquid leggings were a birthday gift (G by Guess similar here)

- Old Navy Tall Knit Sweater (Roxy similar here)

- Old Navy Tall Plaid Cobalt Blue Shirt (remixed, seen before here)

Handbag, sunglasses and accessories details can be found on previous posts, so I invite you to stay a little longer and go to previous posts ♥.

Thanks as always for your sponsorship, for reading me and sharing my blog!

Laura

Striped Dress + Herringbone Vest

Monday, February 29, 2016

Hi everybody!

I really wanted to post something on February 29th! hahaha so I'm making this quick post about an outfit I wore a few days back. I can say I liked it but I was not entirely pleased with the length of the dress, I believe an inch shorter would have been great (who can understand me right? I know!).

Details on the outfit:

- Herringbone Vest (as seen here).

- Old Navy Tall Fit and Flare Striped Dress (wearing an S so it runs a bit big, I normally would wear an M).

Not much more on this outfit that you haven't seen before :), I think I will trim the dress a little bit and remix it, or maybe try it without the tights before I do that... the weather is still funny in Ensenada so I didn't want to risk it that much.

As always, thank you for stopping by!!!

Lau

Hi everyone!

I really want to say Thank You! to my family and friends that have been very active reading my blog and spreading the word, I appreciate it ♥. Thanks for your kind words and compliments, I feel really flattered! I noticed my cousins Irma and Karina were reading and sharing as well: HI! Thank you! Also my follower since forever Gaby Pohlenz: HI! yes I changed the name of the blog... I thought it needed a face-lift and I'm trying to be more active as you can see hehe.

So... regarding the day of this outfit... I totally forgot my camera! It was a few days ago and I really liked the cactus on the background :( so had to take this picture with my phone :(.

Details of the outfit:

- Tall Skinny Jeans from Old Navy in Blackjack (here)
- Tall Chambray Shirt from Old Navy (here)
- Tall Sequined Tank Top from Old Navy (bought it last year, similar here)
- Kate Spade Pearl Earrings (bought them last Christmas and they're out of stock, similar here)
- Kate Spade Handbag (as seen before here)
- Old Forever 21 Blazer (as seen before here)

My sisters made me notice the comment box was hidden, it's supposed to work now but for some reason is not working on mobile devices, just regular laptop/desktop (I need to check that - en casa de herrero...)

Thank you again for stopping by!

Burgundy Blazer + Tommy Hilfiger Booties

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Hi everyone!

I really cannot say how many times I've used this dress... like a gazillion! I like it so much, I bought it like 2 or 3 years ago in H&M and it was like $12 USD. I'm so upset with myself that I didn't buy all prints! There were like 3 or 4 very lovely ones!

I use this dress SO much that I've visited my brother twice in Pittsburgh and then last year he came to California and he's taken pictures of me wearing this dress EACH TIME we meet; I bet he believes I have nothing else to wear hahaha.

When in California I used this with my Keds, so it's a very remixable dress! Fabric is lovely and soft and I'm positive I will wear this until it's totally destroyed (been there, done that). I will definitely dig up those pics and make a wardrobe remix post about it.

So... details:

- Dress H&M (like I said, from 2 or 3 years ago, similar Adrianna Papell here)

- Burgundy Blazer from Forever 21 (last year, similar here - and I bet same quality since Forever 21 is not really known for quality)

- H&M Scarf (you can't really see it - sorry for the blurry pics! but it has gold thread all over it, like a very thin one... I love this scarf!!!, similar here)

- Tommy Hilfiger Leather Booties (gift from my Dad!!!, find them here - unfortunately in Amazon pics you can't see the gold metal tassels but they're great!)

- Kate Spade Brighton Park Pebble Small Felix (This one is out of stock but I still have my eye on the Cedar Street Maise Satchel in Mulled Wine here)

Thanks for stopping by!

Blue Plaid Shirt + Statement Necklace

Monday, February 08, 2016

Hello everyone!

On one of my last month's posts I wrote about ordering a few plaid flannel shirts from Old Navy and that I was going to review them, well, this is one of them. I ordered a Tall Medium Classic one in two colors but I loved this cobalt blue one (I love cobalt blue!), the other one is navy blue.

Fabric is very soft, it's kind of "hi-lo" and I bet I could have gone for the Tall Small one, since the cut is classic the shirt is very roomy; truth is I don't want to go ahead and start ordering size S, I'm afraid it won't fit my chest and one of the main reasons of ordering tall (besides the sleeves!) it's the fit on my chest, the sweet feeling of knowing the button won't pop, it's safety I really appreciate haha.

Other details of my outfit:

- Old Navy The Pixie Chinos (Tall Size 4)
- Old Navy Classic Flannel Shirt (Tall Size M, currently out of stock on tall and this color)
- Nude heels (no known brand, similar here)
- Kate Spade Charles Street Brantley (you can read my "unwrapping the bag" post here, and similar Kate Spade handbag here)
- Pearl statement necklace (this one is from T.J.Maxx but similar here)

Thanks for stopping by!

Black Full Midi Skirt

Wednesday, February 03, 2016

Hi there!!!

Remember my New Year's Eve Outfit post? I talked about my sister giving me a Black Full Midi-Skirt for Christmas, this is it!!! My hair as always is all over the place, sorry haha.

For people in Ensenada, she bought it at "La Raca" and I believe it was less expensive than RÖD Passion Boutique (where I bought the fuchsia one), quality of the fabric is pretty much the same but this one has pockets!!! I really really loved it!!!

For Amazon regulars, you can find similar items!

1. Black Full Midi-Skirt for only $19.99!!! (please read carefully about sizing)
2. Striped Top
3. Aviator Full Mirror Sunglasses

I bought a couple of more full midi-skirts from Amazon sellers (including the link above, I got it in Cobalt Blue), Asian sizes as well and they fit perfectly! I will soon use them and write the reviews here.

Thanks as always for stopping by!

Lau

Leather Jacket + Gray Hoodie

Friday, January 22, 2016

Hi there!

Sorry about the photos being a bit blurry :(, camera is practically new (to me anyways), it was a gift from my brother and I keep asking different people to take photos, they're still learning a lot though.

This is something I used last weekend, something casual to go grocery shopping and whatnot. I really love this, it's something I wouldn't normally wear (a hoodie for example) and I'm just taking chances here and there to spice things up a little bit.

Details of the outfit:

- Tall Mid-Rise Black Old Navy Skinny Jeans (here)

- Gray Hoodie I got as a Christmas gift, I don't really know where it came from but if I were to buy an awesome hoodie, I'd buy this one.

- Leather Jacket SOOOO old, this jacket was a gift from my dad when I was 15... I don't want to say how old it is but it's been around more than a lot of people in my life hahaha, at the time he got it from Wilson's Leather and it's bikerish kind (similar here)

- Leather Biker boots are Mexican from León Guanajuato, got them from the same store I got these booties, it was a very exciting experience! (similar here)

- Calvin Klein Leather handbag (similar here)

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Black Circle Skirt + Lace Cardigan

Tuesday, January 19, 2016

Hi there!

So, this photo-shoot was a bit of a disaster, I was all over the place, my hair was all over the place, I had to walk in a parking lot that had no pavement (so my shoes are a bit dusty) but here it is... one not 100% bad pic of it.

I wore this last week, for a regular work day. The circle skirt I have to say is a little bit long for my taste, it should be like... probably 1 inch shorter, I'd like that look better (never a mini skirt, never ever! just a bit shorter) but where I work they don't like it when I use short skirts, I never use mini skirts but I'm not allowed to use shorter skirts (other girls are though... like... shorter girls I guess?).

The problem is, I love skirts!!! I really really love them, and I rarely use a short skirt (above the knee one) without very opaque tights, so I have to come up with something right?

These are the details of what I'm wearing, the only new item was the skirt itself actually. Everything else is at least a year old.

1. Old Navy Circle Skirt for Tall girls (No longer available but there a prettier Calvin Klein one here).

2. Timberland booties (here).

3. H&M Lace Cardigan (Winter 2014, find similar here).

4. Opaque tights in Tall size (here).

5. Calvin Klein Leather handbag (similar here).

6. Underneath the cardigan I'm just using a V-neck cami tee (similar here).

I really liked the way it looked all put together, but if you have the chance, use a skirt a bit shorter!

Thanks as always for stopping by!

Plaid Shirt + Black Blazer

Thursday, January 14, 2016

Hello everyone!

This is something I wore last weekend, I got the inspo from Pinterest (as always), you can check my wardrobe inspiration board and search for "Plaid" tons of stuff there!

The specifics are:

- Plaid Shirt I got from a Ross rack BUT I ordered a similar from Old Navy (tall girl section) and as soon as I get it, I will mix it with something else and talk about fabric/quality comparison. You can find similar plaid shirt here, and you can check the one I just ordered here.

- Tall Skinny Jeans from Old Navy (here).

- Blazer is Forever 21. I bought this one last year but you can find similar ones here and here.

- I'm also wearing my Kate Spade Berkeley Lane Hanna (find it here with a 20% off discount and similar one here).

And the shoes!!! I want to talk about the shoes a little bit more... these shoes are 100% leather and they're also 100% Mexican. Here in México, there's a town called "León" -in the state of Guanajuato- that specializes in leather goods, everything is genuine and this is as good as it gets, you can smell the real leather. To be 100% honest, I think sometimes the designs are... well... not very impressive; they're progressing at least, they're a bit chunky sometimes or not that detailed, but I do believe the shoe makers are in the right path. Price? $16.00 USD, yep... that's right... for a leather good who also happens to have a very sturdy sole. I could be drowning in these except Mexican girls don't usually come in my size (5'11")... so Mexican shoes don't usually come in my shoe size (9.5 US).

I was walking in a store that I can't lie, I normally wouldn't be walking in that specific store except that I was desperately trying to find a basic turtleneck tee with long sleeves... it's like they don't exist! So I was desperate, I walked in this store... I was about to leave (after checking there were no basic turtleneck tees), I saw the booties and went like "mmm interesting..." then I saw size 27 (which is actually a 10 US, so they're a bit roomy), I saw the price and went like "this is obviously PU..." (but the smell is actually kind of strong) then I check the materials.. LEATHER! "This can't be!" Tried them on, yes they're a bit big but they're booties not pumps so I'm fine with it and I'm THRILLED with this purchase.

Thank you Mexican shoe makers! Thank you for these!

And thank you guys for stopping by!!! If you have any questions please feel free to send a comment my way!

xoxo,

Lau

Natural Layers + Gold Polka Dots

Monday, January 11, 2016

Hi there!

So this outfit here is from few days back and I really liked how it turned out ! It felt a little like spring already :) sunny and happy day.

From the waist up I'm wearing something I actually wore a birthday ago:

A gold polka dot sweater I fished out from a Kmart rack (I love findings like this one! This would also look awesome with gold sequin sweater like the one here)

A white H&M blazer I got on my trip to Chicago (similar on sale! here)

From the waist down:

Tall Old Navy Khakis (here)

Nude heels that I adore and also fished from somewhere like Ross I believe (mine are no relevant brand but find similar ones here)

Accesories:

Kate Spade Brighton Park Pebble Small Felix (This one is out of stock but I die for the Cedar Street Maise Satchel in Mulled Wine here)

Bracelet is vintage

Thanks as always for stopping by!

Lau
